Kendall and the Ladybug

On Valentine's Day, Kendall was a little under the weather. She was running a low-ish fever and was extra cuddly. She slept the majority of the day. This was her state after her first three hour nap of the day:

Even sick, girlfriend has priorities. She made sure she had Boo the Blanket, her new kitty and puppy books, and her light saber spiny thing. Oh, and the nukey. Look at her little flushed cheeks. Poor girl.

She made sure she stayed hydrated by double-fisting milk and OJ. She's a smart girl. I can't imagine that OJ tastes very good after drinking milk, but she seemed to like it.  She took some medicine and wouldn't you know it, her fever broke and she bounced right back. She was still cuddly until she spotted a....wait for it...wait for it...

LADYBUG!! I got it on my finger and she stuck her hand right out. It crawled around and then....

flew to her knee.

Then, he jumped to her chest. See it?

She got it back on her finger and let it crawl up her arm. She 'oohed' and 'aahhed' the entire time.

It flew to the couch...

where Kendall observed it's every move. They chatted, giggled, and played.

Kendall made him crawl on her finger again, just for one last time.

He made it to her arm before deciding that playtime with Kendall was over. He flew to the window and Kendall lost interest. Even with fever in her head, a ladybug still has the power to motivate curiosity. And, unlike her mother, she did not screech a little every time that little bugger decided to take flight.
