Easter Egg Garland

The girls and I made this last night. It was easy and it was cheap. It took two bags of plastic Easter eggs and some yarn. All you have to do is place the yarn over one side of an egg then snap it shut. It adds a little pizazz to our faux wood beam.

Yes, we have a faux wood beam. It looks like real wood but it is actually styrofoam. It was here when we moved in and is, well, really ugly. But for now, it stays. It does a fine job of holding Christmas lights, garlands during other holidays, and birthday party decorations.

Avery hopes that the Easter bunny likes the garland and thinks he will be tricked by them and think there is chocolate in them, for him to eat. Kendall points, laughs, and "oohs" and "aahs" at them. Every time she has come into the living room today and spots them, she responds the same, like she forgot they were there. Silly girl.

Sorry the pictures of the garland are a little dark. It is really, really cloudy and dreary here today. When I turned on the light behind them, they would glow like fluorescent lights in the pictures. But they bring a little cheer to such a gloomy day.
